People are not impressed with TIME for saying Amal Clooney was 'showing off' her baby bump
YESTERDAY, AMAL CLOONEY gave a speech at UN headquarters, calling on them to investigate crimes committed by ISIS.

Clooney spoke of young girls she had interviewed who had been “raped and enslaved by ISIS” and urged the UN member states not to let them “get away with genocide”.
Her speech was widely covered by the media – but TIME magazine decided to tweet about Clooney “showing off her baby bump”:

The link takes you to an article on TIME’s sister site, Motto, which originally bore the headline ‘Amal Clooney Rocks The Baby Bump Ahead of UN Speech’.
People immediately started asking why TIME had chosen to focus not on Clooney’s speech, but her pregnancy.
The phrase “showing off” also rubbed people up the wrong way – how would you go about not showing off a baby bump?
